![]() ![]() I asked to have the Corvette specialist call me so I could better understand what will be next after finding out he was out on a test run with another vette while I was there. $4000.00I went to the Buford dealership yesterday to explain my issue.the service tech was very nice.but that was as far as a pleasant experience went. They agrees to do it but since they don't honor my Car Shield warranty I ended up at Maxie Price. Hendrick was the first dealer I checked with and also where I bought the car last year. I'll mention the check valve TSB too before handing it over to them, hopefully get all transmission things taken care of in one go ![]() Went to the dealer yesterday, they said it'll be a week wait and they'll call me when they have a spot open. I think if I start it up and quickly shift into reverse I can get it to do it, but I dont want to damage anything finding out for sure But I could be wrong, above TSB sounds like a fix. I think the slow reaction followed by harsh shift I get occasionally from park to reverse (happened like once or twice) is due to transmission fluid not being pumped from the pan on a cold start, so letting it idle lets the pump do it's thing, which I tend to do before shifting as I have to mess with the PDR to get it recording for a good 5 or so minutes before I shift. "What does the PDR have to do with the pump?" Never been in for service other than the free oil changes Bottom lone is if you have the original fluid, get it changed out.ĭarn, didn't know about 16-NA-014, I may have to get that fixed too, my car was built Oct 2014 I think, so most everything applies to it. After my 2nd flush I added put in additive to help and after a month or two, I didn't even notice the shudder was gone. I'd go with the flush first and see if that cures it. Mine is in for the delayed engagement issue where after sitting overnight, when going into drive there is a 3 second delay followed by a harsh "bang" as it engages. The fluid flush to address the shudder is 18-NA-355. JimMy 2015 is torn down as we speak for the torque converter flood back. You would think that this being such a major problem with all the different vehicles with the A8 tranny it would not be an issue for them to fix it.Įspecially since I already have a documented history of the problem. They said they never pay for all but maybe 50 to 80%, Maybe !! Now with 14K miles I brought it to my trusted GM dealer here in upstate NY and they tell me sounds like its TC problem and has to be torn apart, damaged determined and they will contact GM to see if they will help defray the cost under their 'good faith' program. Now 2020, drive train warranty expired just 3 months ago and it is really starting to shudder. A reputable GM dealer took it in and advised it had a TC problem and GM has them do the triple flush. Had a slight skip in mine while in Florida. ![]()
